No More Free Google Apps

Google finally decided to stop giving Google Apps accounts for free. We can no longer register for a free Google Apps account for our domains. This is a bad news, especially for non-profit organizations living outside the U.S. If they want to use Google Apps, they will have to pay $50/user/year, and that’s a lot of money because they’re not generating any profit.

The best alternative for non-profit organizations that want to use Google Apps is to obtain a free Google Apps account. Then, they can add their domain to that account, and create users under that domain. If you have a non-profit organization, and you want to obtain an old Google Apps account with 100, 200, 500, or even 1000 users limit, let me know. I have some. They’re not free, but surely much cheaper than paying $50/user/year, especially if you’re non-profit. If you want to obtain an old Google Apps with plenty of users, leave a comment here, and don’t forget to write your email there. I will get back to you asap.

If you’re looking for old Google Apps account, Standard Google Apps Account, or Google Apps standard, you have come to the right place. I do have some grandfathered Google Apps account 🙂 . But remember, these are only for non-profit organizations.

What is Google Apps

If you have a domain name, and you want to create email addresses @yourdomain.tld, you can simply use Google Apps. You can sign up for the free edition, and you can create up to 10 email address @yourdomain.tld. However, email addresses with your own domain are not the only things that you get when you use Google Apps. You will also have access to wonderful features such as Docs, Sites, Calendar, Chat, and more. These features are excellent for organizations and businesses.

If you want to create more than 10 user accounts, you can, but you have to pay $50 per user per year. But interestingly, there are Google Apps accounts that can create more than 10 users for free. They have different number of user accounts limits, such as 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 etc. These Google Apps accounts, often referred to as ‘grandfathered’ Google Apps accounts, are those that were registered a few years ago, before the limit of free user accounts is reduced to merely 10. These Google Apps account still have their original limit of user accounts.
