You can sign up for the free edition, and you can create up to 10 email address @yourdomain.tld. However, email addresses with your own domain are not the only things that you get when you use Google Apps. You will also have access to wonderful features such as Docs, Sites, Calendar, Chat, and more. These features are excellent for organizations and businesses.
If you want to create more than 10 user accounts, you can, but you have to pay $50 per user per year. But interestingly, there are Google Apps accounts that can create more than 10 users for free. They have different number of user accounts limits, such as 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 etc. These Google Apps accounts, often referred to as ‘grandfathered’ Google Apps accounts, are those that were registered a few years ago, before the limit of free user accounts is reduced to merely 10. These Google Apps account still have their original limit of user accounts.
